lipomed is designed to be used for a period of 4 – 6 weeks after the operation
Due to the high mechanical stresses caused by wearing the garment continually for 24 hours, the compressive effect after this time no longer satisfies the medical requirements. Patients are strongly advised not to have lipomed altered by a surgical appliance retailer or a by a tailor for use as a second garment. Bringing the medical device into the market a second time presupposes the conduct of a corresponding risk analysis and an EU declaration of conformity.
