Lumbamed® plus

The Lumbamed plus back orthosis, with its Vario Flex pad, is designed to provide stabilization and massage for pain in the lumbar spine region or at the lumbosacral junction.

The Lumbamed plus can be used for all indications requiring stabilization of the lumbar spine through pressure redistribution with a back pad, for example in cases of lower back pain (lumbago) or postural muscle imbalance in the lumbar spine.

The special combination of Comfort Material, fit (Comfort Fit), handling (Comfort Handling), and effective therapy (Comfort Effect) the orthosis offers a high level of wearing comfort during therapy.

COMFORT MATERIAL

An integrated comfort zone with a two-zone knitted fabric ensures easy donning and a pleasant wearing while maintaining reliable stabilisation. Thanks to Clima Comfort technology with high breathability, moisture is quickly wicked away from the skin.

The Lumbamed sacro is particularly skin-friendly due to its material composition, which combines high-tech fibres with natural fibres (such as eucalyptus). Twelve per cent of the knitted fabric consists of SEAQUAL YARN – an innovative yarn made from recycled PET bottles. On average, this corresponds to a one-litre bottle per product.

COMFORT FIT

A adjusted leg cut‑out in the sensitive bending area and fold‑down closure edges enhance wearing comfort during movement and while sitting.

COMFORT HANDLING

An internal hand loop on the left side and an external loop on the right side allow easy application of the orthosis. A practical finger tab makes it easier to open the brace, and the new hook‑and‑loop closing aid makes fastening easier.

COMFORT EFFECT

The flexibly positionable Vario Flex pad is designed for targeted massage of pain points. The 3D profile of the pad promotes blood circulation and helps reduce muscular tension in the back. In combination with the compressive knitted fabric, the pad supports a correction of lordosis posture (delordosis) of the lumbar spine and contributes to pain relief. The compressive knitted fabric can improve proprioception. The improvement in proprioception supports the body's own stabilisation.
