Lumbamed® pro – Lumbar brace for stress relief and phase-appropriate mobilisation
Lumbamed pro is a brace designed to relieve and mobilize the lumbar spine. Thanks to its modular design, it can be flexibly adapted to the patient’s level of pain and degree of mobility. The brace can be reduced in two stages: the Vario‑Flex pad and the strap system can be removed independently of each other.
This back brace is used for all conditions and complaints in which partial unloading through reduction of lumbar lordosis (spinal realignment) with subsequent functional mobilization of the lumbar spine is required, for example:
- Moderate lumbosacral pain with minor deficits from intervertebral disc protrusion or prolapse
- Moderate pseudoradicular pain syndrome
- Grade I spondylolisthesis with lumbar pain
- Moderate lumbar deformity (recurrent treatment, complicated course)
- Post-spinal surgery status with small to medium-sized prolapse
- Degeneration
The special combination of Comfort Material, fit (Comfort Fit), handling (Comfort Handling), and effective therapy (Comfort Effect) offers numerous benefits:
COMFORT MATERIAL
An integrated Comfort Zone with a two‑zone knitted fabric ensures easy donning and a comfortable wearing experience while maintaining proven stability. High‑tech and natural fibers (for example, eucalyptus‑based fibers) provide a pleasant feel on the skin and promote rapid moisture transport.
In addition, Clima Comfort, supported by modern fiber technologies, helps wick moisture away from the skin surface, ensuring a high level of breathability. Twelve percent of the knitted fabric consists of SEAQUAL YARN — an innovative yarn made from recycled PET bottles. This corresponds on average to one one‑liter bottle per brace.
COMFORT FIT
A adjusted leg cut‑out in the sensitive bending area and fold‑down closure edges enhance wearing comfort during movement and while sitting.
The modular design allows individual adjustment to pain sensation and degree of mobility while ensuring therapy-accompanying use. The brace can be reduced in two stages — the tension straps and the Vario‑Flex pad can be removed independently of each other.
COMFORT HANDLING
Bilateral hand loops allow easy and energy‑saving donning of the lumbar brace, while a practical finger tab makes it easier to open. In addition, a helpful hook‑and‑loop aid makes closing easier.
COMFORT EFFECT
The compressive knitted fabric of the Lumbamed pro brace can improve proprioception, thereby supporting the body’s natural stabilization mechanisms. Integrated support elements provide enhanced stabilization and stress relief of the lumbar spine.
Individual and continuously adjustable circumferential pressure around the torso is enabled by a precise 3‑point strap system. The flexibly positionable Vario‑Flex pad is designed to provide targeted massage of painful areas.
- Reduction of lordosis by abdominal compression, integrated support elements, and continuously adjustable tension straps.
- Stabilization of the lumbar spine (LWS) region and the lumbosacral junction through tension straps, support elements, and an integrated Vario-Flex pad with a 3D profile.
- Pain relief and posture correction through the interaction of compressive knitted fabric and the integrated Vario-Flex pad with a 3D profile.
- Precisely regulates intra-abdominal pressure by means of a 3-point belt system.
- Improves blood circulation and reduces muscle tension in the lumbar spine region through the 3D profile of the integrated Vario-Flex pad.
- The compressive knitted fabric can enhance proprioception. Improved proprioception supports the body’s natural stabilization.
Lumbamed® pro is a brace for partial stress relief via correction of lordosis and functional mobilisation of the lumbar spine.
All indications requiring partial relief by reduction of lordosis of the lumbar spine with subsequent functional mobilisation of the lumbar spine such as:
- Moderate lumbosacral pain with minor deficits from intervertebral disc protrusion or prolapse
- Moderate pseudoradicular pain syndrome
- Grade I spondylolisthesis with lumbar pain
- Moderate lumbar deformity (recurrent treatment, complicated course)
- Post-spinal surgery status with small to medium-sized prolapse
- Degeneration
