medi 3C

With its patented ratchet closure, the medi 3 C is very easy to put on. Small opening and closing movements of the closure cover are required to tighten the strap.

Characteristics

The materials used are skin-friendly and nickel free. The covers can be hand washed in a mild soap solution (air-dry).

Areas of application

  • Stable vertebral compression fracture: if a vertebral body in the chest or lumbar spine area fractures, this is known as a compression fracture. This usually occurs as the result of an accident or fall. The bone marrow remains undamaged (which is why it is called “stable”). The fracture is almost always detected in the form of pressure pain and pain on percussion.
  • Hyperkyphosis in juvenile Scheuermann’s disease (hyperkyphosis is a severe curving of the spine. In elderly individuals, this is also known as a “dowager’s hump”). Juvenile Scheuermann’s disease generally develops between the age of 11 and 13. Development of a rounded back with severe back pain is generally the first indication, but in young patients this condition can be cured.
  • For immobilisation after surgery to the thoracic and/or lumbar spine.
