Basketballers as brand ambassadors
The Bundesliga basketballers are ideal ambassadors to show off the performance of medi compression stockings, supports and orthoses.
The wide range of sports compression, supports, insoles and more are popular among top athletes who enjoy wearing the products.
Well equipped for the next heroic season
During preparation for the season, the medi Bayreuth basketballers visited their main and named sponsor who equipped the Heroes Of Tomorrow with products from medi and CEP: They were given travel socks, shoe insoles and supports, as well as CEP stockings and sports compression clothing.
At various stations, medi employees measured the players and trainers, conducted running analysis and tested vein function. The team was also extensively briefed on the products.
These products should help support the Bundesliga basketballers, have a preventative effect and promote healing in case of injury.
What a heroic season! The medi Bayreuth basketballers qualified for the playoffs
Head coach Raoul Korner’s team exceeded all expectations this season: The Heroes Of Tomorrow succeeded in making the playoffs for the first time since 1996.
A blockbuster season that sees the team in 4th place and in the playoff quarter finals in Oldenburg - a record of 14 home and eight away victories.
The Heroes Of Tomorrow gave their fans hours of unforgettable play in the incredible atmosphere of the almost always sold-out “Oberfrankenhölle”.
Nach der Saison ist vor der Saison: Die medi bayreuth Leistungsträger Nate Linhart, De´Mon Brooks und Assem Marei bleiben dem Team genauso erhalten wie Steve Wachalski, Robin Amaize, Andreas Seiferth und Kapitän Bastian Doreth.

“Home game” at medi: The medi Bayreuth basketballers provide the main sponsor with product feedback
The “Heroes Of Tomorrow” visited medi on 26th April and, after playing a “home game”, gave comprehensive feedback on the products that accompanied their outstanding success! Frank Thelemann, Head of Product Management Division Lifestyle, appreciates the partnership with the basketballers: “The players test the products under extreme conditions and provide us with valuable feedback. We find out what they think about our compression products. medi is proud that our professional athletes really enjoy wearing our products - when under stress, while healing or when travelling.”
Point guard, Kyan Anderson, agrees: “I always wear the Genumedi knee brace in training and when playing. It gives me a lot of stability and security under intense and extreme stress. The pad reduces swelling and the brace is very comfortable to wear.” Shooting guard, Trey Lewis, also stays in top shape off the court with medi products: “We all wear the travel socks when we have to travel further for away games. The compression leaves us with light legs and feeling good.”
