Ankle brace for the functional treatment of injuries and ligament instabilities
The medi Ankle RTS (= Return to Sport) ankle brace is suitable for indications where stabilisation of the upper or lower ankle joint in one plane is necessary, for example:
- After distortions (twisting, sprains), for example supination trauma (overstretching of the outer holding apparatus)
- For chronic ligament instabilities in the ankle
- As a preventative measure after supination trauma, especially during sporting activities
- For minor syndesmosis ligament injuries
Wearing the medi Ankle RTS provides security and can counteract instabilities and ankle twisting. The anatomical pre-forming and the enclosing stabilising element on the ankle provides reliable support.
The stabilising element works together with the power-lift function (tension on the outer edge of the foot through the talus strap) to effectively protect the capsule and ligament apparatus and can prevent unhealthy joint movements. The two straps of the Easy-2-Strap system and the comfortable entry make it easy to use and adjust.
The light-weight and slim design allows the the medi Ankle RTS to be worn comfortably with shoes. The seamless cut also ensures an ideal fit – where oedema of the window can be avoided.
- Easy handling and application thanks to the intuitive strap guidance via the Easy-2-Strap system
- Effective protection of the ligamentous apparatus and prevention of supination via tension along the outer edge of the foot, and easy adjustment thanks to the Power-Lift function
- Comfortable insertion and optimum comfort within the shoe thanks to the slim and light-weight design
- Anatomical pre-shaping and enclosing stabilisation element ensures reliable ankle support
- Form-fit cut ensures a seamless fit and avoids window oedema
Adjustable ankle brace for stabilisation in one plane
All indications in which a stabilisation of the upper and lower ankle joint in one plane is necessary, such as:
- Following distorsions (e.g. supination injuries)
- Chronic ligament instability in the upper and lower ankle
- As a preventative measure after supination injuries, particularly for sports
- Mild injury to the syndesmotic ligaments
