medi ROM Walker

medi ROM Walker is a lower-leg foot brace for mobilisation in an adjustable range of motion. The patient or an orthotist can quickly and easily adjust the Quick-Set-Hinge to set the angle of immobilisation in ten degree increments. It is also possible to set the tilt angle of the foot (plantar flexion / dorsiflexion). The flat, rounded, slip-resistant rocker sole of the orthosis can support a normal gait. Mouldable lateral articulated hinge bars and trimmable pads ensure that the ROM Walker brace is particularly comfortable to wear.

With its adjustable ROM (Range of Motion) hinge, medi ROM Walker promotes early functional mobilisation. The radius of movement of the joints in the lower leg and foot region can be adjusted individually depending on the clinical picture and treatment. Thus, the brace can be used for all indications requiring a early functional mobilisation with ROM limitation in joints of the lower leg - foot - area such as:

• Following fractures of the fibula (postoperative and nonsurgical treatment)
• Following dislocated fractures of the talocrural joint
• Following injuries of the fore foot, middle foot or tarsus (nonsurgical treatment)
• Following an operation for injuries to ligaments, soft tissues and tendons
• Follow-up treatment of fractures of the talus, calcaneus and medial malleolus
• For early functional therapy after rupture of the Achilles tendon (nonsurgical / postoperative)

The orthosis with extension and flexion limitation can protect from unhealthful joint movements. The skin-friendly inner material makes it very comfortable to wear – as does the low total weight. The five straps on the medi ROM Walker ensure a high level of stability. Furthermore, the hindfoot can be fixed with the additional heel strap. This allows the medi ROM Walker orthosis to be individually adjusted throughout treatment.
