Interim prosthesis

= This is the transitional prosthesis that is worn for six months after the amputation until the definitive prosthesis is supplied. The interim prosthesis is essentially the same as the definitive prosthesis, but allows regular adjustment of the prosthetic socket to take account of any changes in the volume of the residual limb.
