The individual functional components of a prosthesis are adapted to meet the needs of each particular user. A wide variety of models of medi knee joints has therefore been developed, which accomodate the specific requirements of the user.
medi knee joints
medi knee joints have a stable aluminium frame construction and a low intrinsic weight, which is ideally suited to providing for the individual needs. A knee joint that ensures a high level of safety and was developed for people with this requirement is the medi OFM2 knee joint with brake. Users belonging to the higher weight classes can also be fitted with medi knee joints. For example, the medi OH6 is used for individuals weighing up to 136 kg and can withstand increased impact loading on grounds of high functional requirements.
medi hip joint
The development of the medi HM3 hip joint in its functional association with the ESSA carbon system represents a milestone in the care of this user group. The complex hip exarticulation combination absorbs sufficient energy at each step to support the roll-off process of the prosthetic leg in a physiological way.
