medi Clever Bone System – more dynamics for less mobile users
The patented medi Clever Bone System is optimised to the requirements of less mobile (elderly) prosthesis users. For the amputee, this means a gentle, strength-saving gait, as the energy input on heel strike is used to move the prosthesis in the direction of movement. The shock absorbing characteristics relieve the stump. Moreover, the shock absorbing, energy-returning characteristics protect the entire joint chain.
medi ESSA carbon system – more dynamics for mobile users
The medi ESSA* carbon system allows approximation to the gait pattern by means of its shock absorbing, energy-returning characteristics.
Its elasticity allows ESSA to reduce heel-strike forces thereby giving the user an energy-saving gait by reducing pressure transmission.
It is suitable for users with moderate high activity and is available in four hardness grades. It is used for the provision of hip exarticulation, above-knee and below-knee amputees.
Particularly in combination with the medi HM3 hip joint, this functional unit offers a considerable improvement in the handling of the prosthesis and an improved gait pattern. (*ESSA = Energy Storing - Shock Absorbing)
