Our recommendation
Each question answered with “yes” is a risk factor. If the completed checklist indicates that you are at increased risk of osteoporosis, you should ask your doctor for advice. An orthopaedic physician can assess your personal risk more exactly by measuring your bone density. Proper nutrition and a lot of exercise can help to reduce the risk of falling ill of osteoporosis. If you suffer from osteoporosis, you are already being treated. You can learn more about this in the Therapy Guidelines of the DVO (Umbrella Organisation for German-Speaking Osteologists). These list Spinomed back orthoses as a component of successful osteoporosis therapy. They are the only commercially available back orthoses which fulfil the critical demands of the DVO.
If you suffer from acute or chronic symptoms, it is essential to consult your doctor!
