Putting on an armsleeve

  • Turn the armsleeve inside out as far as the beginning of the hand section or as far as the last quarter.
  • Then pull the armsleeve over the hand.
  • Pull the rest of the armsleeve up evenly to just below the armpit. This is easier if you hold onto a support such as the door handle.
  • Make sure that the armsleeve is evenly distributed over the whole arm and that there are no constrictions. The top edge in particular must not be folded over but should fit without any wrinkles forming.

Ask your specialist retailer how best to apply the compression sleeve. Your adviser will show you and try it out with you.

Putting on an armsleeve with the Butler.

  • The semi-circular opening in the Butler is directed away from the body. Put the armsleeve inside.
  • Then fold the upper edge of the armsleeve over the inside frame of the Butler.
  • Grasp the armsleeve with both hands and pull it evenly downwards over the frame.
  • Check the correct position of the armsleeve. The knitting marks at the elbow should be pointing towards you.
  • Now put your hand into the opening, while simultaneously holding the armsleeve carefully on the frame with the other hand.
  • Place the Butler on the edge of the table and slowly push the arm inside. Then check again that the armsleeve is correctly positioned.
