Knee orthosis M.4s

Cruciate ligament injuries can happen to anyone. Typical injury patterns are sudden twisting of the knee, for example when skiing.

Before and immediately after surgery, the leg is initially immobilised with a medi Classic or a medi Jeans so that the swelling can go down. In the further course of treatment, the patient is fitted with an M.4 CI knee orthosis. Even in the event of a car accident, the impact of the lower leg on the dashboard can result in a tear or rupture, in this case of the posterior cruciate ligament. Immediately after surgery, the leg is initially immobilised with a medi PTS, with the patient subsequently taking the first safe steps with an M.4 PCL rigid frame orthosis.

In injuries of the collateral ligament or cases of mild knee instability, surgery is sometimes unnecessary. In these cases, the patient may be fitted with a Collamed or Stabimed soft orthosis.

In the case of patellar dislocation, the knee must be treated with a special soft orthosis. The medi PT control is the ideal option in this case.
