medi CTS

The wrist orthosis with an anatomically preformed volar brace, stabilises the region from the forearm right down to the fingertips and holds the hand securely in a neutral position.

Areas of application

  • Conservative / postoperative management of carpal tunnel syndrome. The main nerves of the hand pass in a bundle through the carpal tunnel. If this channel is too narrow, the pressure causes pain, particularly at night. Sometimes patients also experience tingling or a feeling of numbness. Carpal tunnel syndrome does not necessarily require surgical treatment. Often medication combined with the wearing of an orthosis (medi CTS) is sufficient. However, if the disease continues for several years without treatment, muscle wasting occurs in the region of the ball of the thumb. This makes it impossible to grip properly.
