Whether you are travelling by bus, train or aeroplane – your movement during the journey is restricted. But you can do the following exercises even when sitting in the tightest space and thereby do your legs a favour.
Foot rotation: Keep your heels on the floor and raise your toes. Rotate your feet clockwise and anticlockwise alternately.
Tiptoe exercise: Raise both your heels off the floor, i.e. you raise your heels and keep the balls of your feet on the floor.
Toe raises: this exercise, your heels stay on the floor and you raise your toes.
Heel-toe raises: Lift your toes and heels off the floor alternately.
